Pro bono is part of who we are and what we do, every day. We encourage our lawyers to take up the matters and causes that interest them—our pro bono work is as varied as our people. We believe that all lawyers have a moral obligation to do pro bono work, and we strive to be the best.
We fight for the lives of inmates on death row. We enforce the constitutional rights of prisoners to freedom of worship and decent medical care. We counsel small non-profit organizations on their legal rights and responsibilities. We assist with financing development in some of the country’s poorest neighbourhoods. We represent tenants who are wrongly evicted, victims of domestic violence and child abuse and children facing obstacle while trying to accompany their legal guardian. To each of these clients and causes we bring the passion, commitment, ethics and honour that mark our firm.
